Pacific Palisades
Perched atop the Pacific Ocean like a nest, Pacific Palisades is one of those rare places in Los Angeles with a true small-town feel with mellow, sunny sweetness and a cool, calm sea breeze among luxurious homes with the best amenities and finest appeal. It has a panoramic ocean, city and mountain view, surrounding below and above it, making it one of the most desirable but somewhat reclusive and private destinations for the Hollywood elite to settle down with their families. This neighborhood tends to attract and draw in successful and influential business people and A-List celebrities for good reason. A list of notable people and stars who have or currently reside here include, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ben Affleck, Nicole Kidman, Kobe Bryant, Chevy Chase, Jamie Lee Curtis, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, Goldie Hawn, Diane Keaton, Stevi Nicks, Larry David, Chris O’Donnell, James Whale, Kurt Russell, Hilary Swank, Steven Spielberg and Dennis Wilson. Styles of homes range from Spanish Villas to Victorian to Hampton-like to modern design.
At the heart of the Palisades is “The Village,” which is the main business district, where you’ll find darling boutiques, trendy clothing stores, yoga studios, cute, quaint coffee shops, fabulous restaurants and even a nutritious and delicious farmer’s market. The exclusive private Riviera Country Club is just around the bend of the hilly city, off of Sunset Boulevard, where you can wine & dine, play golf or a tennis match and socialize with peers such as family, friends, business partners, clientele or just to meet new people. A premier open-air shopping center called the “Palisades Village,” is set to open on September 22, 2018, and perhaps you’ll be one of the first, lucky enough to explore, eat, shop and enjoy it.
Pacific Palisades has seven unique neighborhoods, so there’s a place (and a price point) for everyone who’s interested and can afford it. Although there is no actual property on the beach, residents can relish within their dwelling on or near the cliff with miles of pristine beaches, along the Pacific Coast Highway below, and appreciate the romantic view of the Santa Monica Bay where they are. There is also quick and easy access to go to the beach if you want to lay out, sunbathe, relax, play frisbee or go for a swim. It will make anyone want to take at least one photograph of the sunrise or sunset, whether you live in, are visiting or just passing through the Palisades, as a beautiful and wonderful vision to remember, like love at first sight.
There are three state parks and are several parks, such as the Palisades Park, Rustic Canyon Park, Will Rogers State Historic Park, Temescal Canyon Gateway Park, Asilomar Park and Palisades Recreation Center, where anyone can run, play, bring their dogs and have fun. Many hiking trails can be found throughout the area with more jaw-dropping “scenic views,” with nature at its best! There are both top-notch public and private schools in the city, itself. A few public schools include Canyon Elementary School, Pacific Palisades Elementary School, Marquez Elementary School, Paul Revere Middle School (which is shared with Brentwood) and Palisades Charter High School. The private schools that are scattered around are the Village School (Pre-K-6), Seven Arrow’s (Grades K-6), Corpus Christi (Grades K-8), Calvary Christian (Grades K-8), St. Matthew’s Parish School (Pre-K-8) and Lycee Francais de Los Angeles. The highly ranked Palisades Charter High School, next to The Village, is also famous for having been featured on the big screen in the following movies: Teen Wolf, Freaky Friday, Havoc, Crazy/Beautiful and Carrie and television series Modern Family.
Real estate values have risen steadily along with the area’s gradual but consistent increase in popularity that boasts of wealth, status, beauty and success. As a Californian paradise, in it’s own right, it is the ideal location if you want to impress others and show off!
