Brentwood is known as a family friendly upscale suburb, tucked away as one of LA’s best kept secrets like a lucky charm.  It is a quiet but charming neighborhood where many successful people, such as Hollywood A-listers, entrepreneurs, inventors and music executives reside in. Stars and other notable people like Marilyn Monroe, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Cindy Crawford, Jim Carrey, LeBron James, Reese Witherspoon, Monica Lewinsky, Tom Brady and Steve Spielberg have all called Brentwood home. There are a few excellent public and several high-performing private schools that are located in the area. The public schools include the Kenter Canyon Elementary School, Brentwood Science Elementary School, Paul Revere Charter Middle School and University High School while some of the private schools are Westland School, Berkeley Hall School, Saint Martin of Tours (all elementary schools), Brentwood School (Grades K-12), Milken Community High School and Archer School for Girls (Grades 6-12). Brentwood is considered to be safe, protected by two police jurisdictions of the Los Angeles Police Department – West Los Angeles and West Valley, the former located in and the latter nearby. Some of the surrounding neighborhoods include: Santa Monica, Pacific Palisades, Westwood, Bel Air and Beverly Hills, all within only minutes away. The San Diego Freeway is easily accessible east of the city. The Barrington Recreation Center is the main park of the neighborhood with an indoor gymnasium, basketball courts, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a baseball field, a soccer field, a football field, a children’s play area and a dog park. Think of it as the best of both worlds, it is a sweet, peaceful, attractive, affluent neighborhood, ideal for settling down as a family, that is close enough to the beach to lay out, relax and catch a bit of that fresh ocean air, and close enough to the city for an impromptu night out that is sure to be fun and enjoyable to make memories that you’ll want to treasure forever!
